This Congregation marks a significant milestone in our institutional history because it is bound to be the last one for the Institute, as a single and independent tertiary education institution with its own charter. The UMAC Bill which sought to merge the Ghana Institute of Journalism, the Ghana Institute of Languages and the National Film and Television Institute into one university - the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UMAC) has received presidential assent and is now UMAC Act 1059. The main objective of this Matriculation exercise is to acquaint you with the fundamental principles, norms and culture of our Institute.
